Nationally, interest rates decreased from 6.87% to 6.67%, while pending home sales fell from 74.5 to 70.6. Builder confidence dropped from 51 to 39, and unemployment rose from 3.9% to 4.1%. In South Florida, unemployment increased in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach from 2.6% to 3.0%, and in Naples from 3.1% to 3.8%. Housing starts rose in Miami but fell in Naples. Existing-home sales declined in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, while inventory increased across all regions. Days on market also rose in most areas.
